Shahbakht Pirzada

Shahbakht Pirzada is a Partner in the Karachi office of RIAA Barker Gillette, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He represents clients in disputes and corporate transactions, regularly appearing before Pakistan's High Court, District Courts, the Competition Commission, the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue, and in departmental proceedings before various regulators.

Shahbakht's dispute resolution practice involves tax, competition, company, contract and trademark disputes. He also advises corporate clients on investments, project finance, construction, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and regulatory compliance, anti‑competitive action, telecommunications and foreign exchange regulation, with a focus on the power and infrastructure sectors.

Shahbakht holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2011) and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School (2013). He is a member of the Sindh Bar Council and the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.
