Hamid Nawaz

Hamid Nawaz is a Senior Associate at Vellani & Vellani in Pakistan, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and international arbitration. He is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and advises local and foreign clients on a broad range of contentious matters.

Hamid has extensive experience in defending and prosecuting litigation matters in the courts of Pakistan, including suits for declarations, injunctions, specific performance, breach of contract, recovery, bails, legal heirship, family matters, and constitutional petitions. He has handled enforcement proceedings, including the enforcement of foreign decrees and ICC arbitral awards in Pakistan. He has appeared before the Islamabad High Court, the Intellectual Property Tribunal, the National Accountability Bureau courts, and has acted in an ICC arbitration proceeding in Singapore. He has also advised on media laws, trademark protection, and represented clients in patent, trademark, and copyright matters, as well as corporate merger petitions.

Hamid holds an LL.M in International Trade Law from the International Islamic University Islamabad (2018), an LL.B from Jinnah Muslim Law College (2015), and an MSc in Mass Communication from the National University of Modern Languages (2010).
