Zakir Hussain

Zakir Hussain is an Associate at Vellani & Vellani in Pakistan, specialising in dispute resolution and commercial litigation. He is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and advises clients across a broad range of contentious matters.

Zakir has acted for local and foreign clients in defending and prosecuting matters in the courts of Pakistan, including suits for declarations, injunctions, specific performance, breach of contract, recovery, bails, legal heirship, family matters, and constitutional petitions. He has advised on enforcement proceedings, including enforcement of foreign decrees and arbitration awards in Pakistan, and has pursued various criminal matters in the District Courts. He has also acted in proceedings before the Intellectual Property Tribunal, the National Accountability Bureau courts, and before the federal ombudsman in harassment cases, and has represented clients before arbitration boards in family, business, and recovery matters. In the corporate and commercial space, he has assisted with due diligence exercises, company incorporation matters, and trademark filings.
