Ayesha Bashir

Ayesha Bashir is a Junior Associate at RIAA Barker Gillette in the Islamabad office, specialising in Corporate Law. She assists the firm's partners and senior associates on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and international law matters, including international trade, banking and finance, debt restructuring, security arrangements and development projects.

Ayesha holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2025) and a J.D. from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (2024). She has contributed to publications with leading academic presses, including the Oxford Handbook of Digital Assets and the Law (Oxford University Press, forthcoming) and the Research Handbook on Health, AI and the Law (Edward Elgar Publishing). Her international experience includes internships at the Qatar International Court & Dispute Resolution Centre, the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Ayesha has been recognised through awards for academic and professional excellence, including the Qatar Foundation Excellence Award and the HBKU Faculty Award for Contributing Most to the Intellectual Life of the College. She has also placed first at the DIFC Courts Digital Economy Court Moot Competition and second at the DLA Piper Sustainability Moot. She is a member of the Islamabad Bar Council and the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration.
