Muhammad Mussadiq Islam

Muhammad Mussadiq Islam is a Partner at Cornelius, Lane & Mufti in Pakistan, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and project finance. He advises clients on corporate, commercial, civil, and corporate litigation, cross-border transactions, infrastructure projects, and regulatory matters across a broad range of industries.

Muhammad has acted as legal counsel on a number of significant transactions, including reverse mergers of unlisted companies into listed companies, demergers and corporate restructurings, IPOs, and the acquisition of shareholding and majority control of sugar and textile manufacturing companies. He has also advised power producers on the establishment and operation of 660x2 MW imported coal power projects at Port Qasim, Karachi, and acted as legal counsel for EPC contractors in power and gas sectors. His experience includes drafting and negotiating share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholders' agreements, and he has advised various clients on property acquisitions and due diligence.

Muhammad holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London and a B.Sc. (Hons) from King's College London. He is a Barrister-at-Law of The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn and an Advocate of the High Court of Pakistan.
