Muhammad Shoaib Rashid

Muhammad Shoaib Rashid is a Partner at Cornelius, Lane & Mufti in Pakistan, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, banking and finance law, and anti-money laundering. He advises clients on corporate, commercial, banking, and tax matters, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution before courts across Pakistan.

Muhammad has advised foreign investors on the acquisition of strategic equity interests in bottling and beverage companies and investment banks; advised sellers on the sale of 100% stakes in listed cement companies and unlisted textile companies; and advised various buyers on the acquisition of substantial assets of public listed companies. He has also advised on scheme of arrangements for mergers, divisions, and reconstructions of companies, structured the issuance of term finance certificates for leading companies, advised on the restructuring of swap transactions under State Bank of Pakistan regulations, and conducted legal due diligence for companies in the oil, beverage, and fertilizer sectors. He has advised both foreign and local property developers on joint ventures and property development projects.

Muhammad holds an LL.B from Punjab University (2006) and is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He is a member of the Punjab Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association, Lahore High Court Bar Association, and Lahore Bar Association.
