Sanaya Vachha

Sanaya Vachha is a Counsel at Vellani & Vellani in Pakistan, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and banking and project finance. She advises local and international clients across a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.

Sanaya has advised on significant transactions including restructuring of family groups and companies in the fast food franchise sector; acquisitions of Pakistani companies by foreign investors; due diligence for potential acquisitions by global FMCG companies; and financing for the Thar Coal Mine Block II project and the 2×330 MW mine mouth coal-fired thermal power project, involving foreign lenders and consortia of Pakistani banks. She also advises on general commercial contracts, including licensing, franchising, supply and distribution agreements, and labour and employment matters.

Sanaya holds an LL.B from S.M. Law College, Pakistan (2013). She is a member of the Sindh Bar Council, the Sindh High Court Bar Association, the Karachi Bar Association, INTA, APAA, and IPBA. She was recognised as a Rising Star by INTA's Rising Star program in 2023 and has served on INTA's Enforcement Committee and the Trademark Reporter Committee, and as Co-Chair of INTA's Opposition and Harmonization Task Force.
