Sikandar Hassan Khan

Sikandar Hasan Khan is a Partner at Cornelius, Lane & Mufti in Pakistan, specialising in energy law, infrastructure and power projects, banking and finance law, and commercial and corporate law. He advises clients on constitutional, commercial, and banking litigation, project development, and cross-border transactions across the power, oil and gas, and telecommunications sectors.

Sikandar has advised the Government of Qatar on power projects and handled project documents for the installation of a power plant in Pakistan; structured and handled the installation of Waste Heat Recovery Boilers and Steam Turbine on a BOT basis for a furnace oil power plant; advised on the implementation agreement for a dedicated LNG, LPG, and NGL Terminal on a BOT basis; and handled dispute resolution before an Expert under a PPA for an IPP against WAPDA. He has advised foreign power companies on investment and financing in Pakistan, advised various telecom companies on supply and installation of GSM, LDI, and WIMAX networks, and structured the issuance of term finance certificates for leading companies. He has also advised the Government of Punjab on the 'Clean Drinking Water for All' project and advised financial institutions on the acquisition of Pak American Fertilizers from the Government of Pakistan.

Sikandar holds an LL.M in Banking and Finance Law from the University of London (SOAS), an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London, and is a Barrister-at-Law (Law Society of Upper Canada) and a Solicitor of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Canada. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Pakistan and a member of the Punjab Bar Council and Lahore High Court Bar Association.
