Seema Mansoor

Seema Mansoor is a Counsel at Vellani & Vellani in Pakistan, specialising in intellectual property law, with a focus on trademarks, copyrights, and domain name disputes. She is an Advocate of the High Court and has been practising since 1987, advising on protection and enforcement of IP rights across a diverse range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, consumer goods, food and beverages, online business, and apparel.

Seema heads and handles various Intellectual Property portfolios of international clients, including ExxonMobil, Amazon, GSK, Coca-Cola, Oracle, Novartis, Caterpillar, and FCA US LLC. She advises on contentious trademark and copyright matters, including infringements, passing off, rectification, and brand protection, and has prepared and pursued IP court actions involving well-known trademarks. She also advises on domain name registration, transfer, and conflicts, enforcement actions before Customs Authorities, and IP contracts including registered user and software licence agreements. In the antitrust space, she has advised on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, and has represented clients before the Competition Commission of Pakistan.

Seema holds an LL.B from the University of Karachi (1986). She is a member of the Sindh Bar Council, Karachi Bar Association, High Court Bar Association, INTA, APAA, IPBA, and PIPRA, and regularly writes articles on IP developments for international publications.
